2.1 Information We Collect
We collect company information including company name, contact details, job requirements, hiring manager information, and details about open positions.
2.2 How We Use Company Information
We use company information to:
- Match suitable candidates with your open positions
- Facilitate warm introductions between candidates and hiring managers
- Provide pre-vetted candidate profiles
- Communicate regarding placements and service delivery
- Maintain our platform and improve our matching services
2.3 Company Obligations
- Companies must provide accurate job descriptions and compensation details.
- Companies agree to maintain the confidentiality of candidate information shared through our platform.
- Companies acknowledge that HumanBit provides a matching service and does not guarantee any candidate's performance post-hire.
2.4 No Liability for Hiring Decisions
HumanBit provides introductions and facilitates connections only. All hiring decisions, employment terms, and post-hire matters are solely between the company and candidate. We are not responsible for any employment disputes, performance issues, or outcomes arising from hires made through our platform.
2.5 Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect company information. However, no electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
3. For Candidates
3.1 Information We Collect
We collect personal information including name, contact details, resume, work experience, education, salary expectations, preferences, interview recordings, and any information you provide during applications and interactions with us.
3.2 How We Use Candidate Information
We use candidate information to:
- Evaluate your suitability for our platform (4% acceptance rate)
- Match you with relevant job opportunities in product companies
- Provide warm introductions to hiring managers
- Facilitate interviews and hiring processes
- Administer our Pay After Placement (PAP) Agreement
- Communicate with you regarding opportunities and platform updates
3.3 Our Business Model & Fees (Pay After Placement Agreement)
Fee Structure
- No upfront fees: You pay nothing until you get hired.
- Fee Threshold: Fees apply only if your CTC (Cost to Company) is ₹9,00,000 (₹9 LPA) or above.
- Fee Amount: 10% of your first year's CTC.
- Payment Terms: Payable in 6 monthly installments after you start working.
- Pricing Details: Refer to the pricing table on our website before registration.
Payment Obligations
By signing up, you agree that:
- If you secure a job through HumanBit with CTC ≥ ₹9 LPA, you are legally obligated to pay the success fee.
- Payment begins once you join the company and receive your first salary.
- You must provide salary documentation (offer letter, salary slips, bank statements) to verify your CTC.
- 2-Week Trial Period: You may request a full refund if you leave the company within the first 2 weeks of employment.
- No Refunds After 2 Weeks: If you remain employed for more than 2 weeks, the full fee amount becomes due and payable with no refunds.
- Failure to pay the agreed fee may result in legal action and collection proceedings.
3.4 No Placement Guarantee
- HumanBit provides job matching, introductions, and placement support services.
- We do not guarantee placement in any company.
- We do not guarantee interview outcomes or job offers.
- We make our best efforts to match you with suitable roles, but hiring decisions are solely at the discretion of companies.
- Acceptance into our platform does not guarantee job placement.
3.5 Candidate Obligations
- You must provide accurate, truthful information in your application and profile.
- You must disclose any offers or placements secured through our platform.
- You must honor the PAP Agreement payment terms if you secure employment through us.
- You authorize us to verify your employment and salary information with your employer if necessary.
3.6 Data Sharing with Companies
By joining our platform, you authorize us to:
- Share your profile, resume, and relevant information with potential employers.
- Facilitate warm introductions and interviews.
You may request to opt out of profile sharing by emailing us, but this may limit our ability to provide services.
3.7 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
4. General Provisions
4.1 Third-Party Services
We may use third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, payment processing, and communication. These providers have access only to information necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to maintain confidentiality.
4.2 Legal Compliance
We may disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal processes, enforce our agreements, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of users.
4.3 Data Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, you acknowledge that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use our services at your own risk.

5. Legal Disclaimer

HumanBit is a platform service only. We do not employ candidates, nor do we act as an employer or recruiting agency. All employment relationships are directly between candidates and companies.
5.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- HumanBit is not liable for any hiring decisions, employment outcomes, or disputes between candidates and companies.
- HumanBit is not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by candidates or companies.
- HumanBit's total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the fees paid by the claimant in the 6 months preceding the claim.
5.3 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HumanBit from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your breach of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service.
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights.
- Disputes between you and other users or third parties.
5.4 Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
